Favorite Things

Friday, January 27th, 2012

These are a few of my favorite things that my boys do lately.

Walker loves to stand by the windows to see outside.. and to wait for Dad to come home.

I countdown until I get to watch his little hands caress his bottle.

Look at those little dimples for knuckles…LOVE!

On our walks now, Griff insists on pushing Walker.

He takes good care of him!

After we read books at night, we leave the lamp on for Griff to fall asleep. I also look forward to going in a few hours later to turn off the light and check on my little bug in a rug.

Here and There

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

I guess riding a plasma car can get pretty dangerous… Griff made sure he had proper head protection for all the donuts he spins out of!

It honestly amazes me what Griff can come up with on his own. He is naturally curious and not scared to try anything… and he doesn’t want help!

It will be very interesting to see what he does as his skill levels improve!

This + This = This

Walker started getting a good “pincer grasp” a few weeks ago. Once he figured how to do it, it is his preferred method. He will eat baby food if I have something on his tray that he can feed himself with too.

Walker also doesn’t stop moving. Diaper changing and dressing have become magic tricks over here. He is trying to keep up with his brother Griffy and wants to be in on all the action.

I love this busy stage we are in!

Griffy’s Goals

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

We have a few routines that we are turning into charts so we can recognize Griff’s accomplishments.

Hopefully there will be a potty chart soon.

30 Balloons

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

Parker and Hali, Tillman and Penny brought over 30 balloons to celebrate Landon’s 30 years of life.

The next 30 minutes were non stop running, giggles and fun!

Thank you young Turks… We love you!

Happy Birthday Darling

Tuesday, January 10th, 2012

Today Landon turns 30!

A stunning wife, two amazing kids, a great job… what more could you ask for?!

Oh, a massage you say? Perfect. You deserve it after traveling to Peru and back to spend Christmas with your in-laws.

You are scheduled Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.

Happy Birthday to my one and only!

Since We’ve Been Home

Thursday, January 5th, 2012

Walker has started clapping and signing “more.”  He pulls up on everything and gets frustrated if he can’t stand up. He is the happiest guy in town. Even with a cold, teething and running on very little naps he doesn’t make a fuss. We call him Angel Baby or Perfect Child. What a fun age!

And we bought big boy underwear…. notice I said bought…. we are testing the waters and will officially start potty training soon!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Peru!

Tuesday, December 27th, 2011

We are having an amazing time in Peru with Mama and Papa T and all the missionaries.  The boys are loving all the extra attention and their new Peruvian National Soccer jerseys.

Christmas is Coming

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

We had a very festive Saturday. Tillman and Griffin were able to decorate gingerbread houses. The boys probably ate more than what they put on the house. Griff took a nice big bite of green fondant first thing, so I was watching him like a hawk.

Tillman on the other hand had a sly approach. While he was waiting for his mom to put the frosting on, he would cram in as many pieces of candy while he could, and then place one on the house.

The finished product.

Walker and Penny Girl always happy to be apart of the festivities.

If you look closely, you can see Walker’s snaggle tooth coming in. He started to get his left fang last week, and this week he has turned into a vampire with the right fang popping through. We LOVE it.

Then we met up with the Turks at the Temple… Parker’s pole to be precise. He was in charge of putting up the lights on a particular pole and it will forever be known as Parker’s Pole from here on out.

What a beautiful site… and an even more beautiful blessing to live so close.

Morning Walks

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

With the weather cooling down as of late, Molly has taken the boys for a lot of morning walks.  I heard a lot about these walks so I decided to tag along one morning to see what the big deal was.

First things first, need to make sure Walker is secure in his seat before pushing the button to cross the busy street.

And we definitely can not miss saying hi to the American flag, the purple flag, and check to see if the dog is by the RV to jump up so we can see his head above the cinder block wall.  Unfortunately on this day, the dog was nowhere to be found.

Next, of course, are the ducks in the canal.  As soon as Griff came around the corner, the ducks came running.  They followed him all the way up the path in hopes of getting more bread.

And now for the grand finale.  Off to feed Patches, Griffin’s favorite horse.  Griffin loves to give Patches all the apples he can handle, but not without testing the apple himself to make sure Patches will like it.

All of this makes for one very satisfied little boy.  Thanks mom.

This is the Polar Express

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Griffin called Tillman over to read “The Polar Express” and then watch the movie.

We wanted to kick start the Holiday Spirit over here.

You can’t watch without having some HOT CHOCOLATE….

Or so I thought. But Tillman didn’t like it. And Griff was ok with that because he drank his cup after.

Thanks for coming over T-man. After we dropped you off, Griff wouldn’t stop begging for you. We are lucky to have you!
