Vertuccio Farms

Sunday, October 16th, 2011

Tillman was nice enough to call and invite Griffin to go to Vertuccio farms, which is a “Pumpkin Patch/Farm” where there are all sorts of fun things for kids to play on.  They were also nice enough to let us join them for the adventure.  Below they are planning out their activities for the day. Big Brother

Saturday, May 21st, 2011

Griffin is taking his increased responsibility as a big brother pretty seriously. He wanted to go outside and mow the lawn, but this is all he wanted to wear and he wouldn’t leave the house without his hat.

18 Months

Saturday, April 30th, 2011

Griff turned 18 months this week on Tuesday. Our son is a ball of energy and we LOVE it. Especially now that he goes to nursery on Sunday.   Things we don’t want to forget: – still fits in his 3-6 mo swimsuit – signs everything – will only  hold still to watch Signing Time [...]

Ladybug

Friday, April 8th, 2011

Playing at the Geigles awhile back, we stumbled upon a darling ladybug. Griff spotted the little lady quickly. From Tessa’s arm, she flew right to Griff’s head. He couldn’t see her on his head… So he liked her much better on his little footsie.

Tuesday, April 5th, 2011

Jennifer Hall and her daughter Geri are my heros! It takes real women who know the importance of water safety to put up with all the screams, wacks, head butts and I’m sure much more to teach swim lessons day after day for a couple months. Griff cried.  But I would’ve been more nervous if [...]

I Love Spring Cleaning

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Every toy, gadget and gizmo has a home and my house is organized and decluttered.  There is nothing better. And…you find games you forgot you had… it’s Christmas all over again! Griff thinks Elephun is the greatest Sunday afternoon activity.

You Can Be Anything

Monday, March 7th, 2011

Griff found one of my childhood books called “You Can Be Anything.” He loves it because he can move a little boy on a string and make him a doctor, a police officer, a letter carrier, a broadcaster, a teacher, a singer or -his personal favorite- a firefighter. We have to find the fire truck [...]

I’ll take it from here mom…

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Tonight, after our normal night time routine, instead of having me carry him into his room with his blanks, Griff decided to walk on his own. There was zero fuss. I turned on the hall light and let him climb up his stool onto his big boy bed. (I think I have been keeping it [...]
