1. Find the biggest tires around and climb all the way to the top.  Check.

2. Hop around on the blow up horses.  Check.

3.  Get lost in the hay maze.  Check.

4. Most importantly, jump on the big blow up mound thing and somehow avoid any serious injury.  Check.

5. Take a little break with Uncle Parker to relax and enjoy the cooler weather.  Check.

Our son is a ball of energy and we LOVE it. Especially now that he goes to nursery on Sunday.

Things we don’t want to forget:

- still fits in his 3-6 mo swimsuit

- signs everything

- will only  hold still to watch Signing Time and begs for it

- tries to say everything but can say about 30 words clearly

- tries to tell stories with words, gestures and signs

- skips and hops

- loves edamame, caesar salad and broccoli

- summersaults off the couch

- wants to spill and make messes so he can clean it up on his own

- begs for saturday morning lawn work

Griff spotted the little lady quickly.

From Tessa’s arm, she flew right to Griff’s head.

He couldn’t see her on his head…

So he liked her much better on his little footsie.

It takes real women who know the importance of water safety to put up with all the screams, wacks, head butts and I’m sure much more to teach swim lessons day after day for a couple months.

Griff cried. 

But I would’ve been more nervous if he wasn’t at all scared of water!

I know it will get better and I am grateful he has the opportunity to learn from FANTASTIC TEACHERS, who taught me how to swim as well.

For now, we will continue to sing “learning to swim is fun to do, fun to do, to do, to do….”

And…you find games you forgot you had… it’s Christmas all over again!

Griff thinks Elephun is the greatest Sunday afternoon activity.

From here he has to put on his firefighter hat (thank you Summer)!

He switched professions throughout the day and wanted to be a teacher because he went straight to the color poster. (We use the wooden spoon as our pointer occasionally.)

I ask him, “where is the black camera?” And when he points to it, I give him a sticker to put on a chart. He can point to every single colored object on that poster when asked.

In the afternoon, when we went outside, he became a pilot. 

I’m not anxious for this little boy to grow up, but I love that he is learning and developing new skills each day. It will be so fun, as his mom, to see what he grows up to be.

Griff, you smart sweet boy, you can be anything!

Tonight, after our normal night time routine, instead of having me carry him into his room with his blanks, Griff decided to walk on his own. There was zero fuss. I turned on the hall light and let him climb up his stool onto his big boy bed. (I think I have been keeping it dark so he doesn’t remember he can climb off the bed.) I normally hold him while we say prayers, but he put his head down on the mattress and still finished with his “Anen.” He followed up with a quick kiss and I turned off the lights. It was as simple as that.

The boy hasn’t skipped a beat moving into a new room and new bed… hopefully this is a good sign for all the changes to come!
