For Family Home Evening tonight, Griff taught us that “Jesus Christ Created the Earth for Me”. We colored a few pages and watched this video.

I’m grateful for the small and simple truths that I get to teach my children. They are powerful and keep me grounded!

“Doing the things that matter most, will lead us to the Savior of the world.”

July 12 – 2 Months Old

My brother Parker and sister-in-law Hali had their baby girl on Thursday morning. Little Penny is practically perfect in every way. We are thrilled to have her a part of our family.

As I was preparing to go to the hospital to see little Penny for the first time, I was thinking… wow, we just did this with Walker. I cannot believe it has been 2 months since this little boy has come into our lives. He is a dream baby. Since day one he has been so relaxed and content in all circumstances. He even puts up with Griff’s growly voice yelling in his ear “Morning Gocky” all day long.

We go to the doctor on Friday, but I can tell you now… He is a different build than Griff. They are basically wearing the same size clothing, let’s put it that way. Although, I do think Walker is growing so quickly that he is starting to thin out. I’m knocking on wood, but I’m grateful that I got a “chunky baby” for at least this long.

As you can see, we have tried to “chunk” Griff up.

Too bad, these coconut bars work for me, I thought they would work for him!

4th at Grammy Cracker and Grandpa’s

We spent the week of the 4th in Utah with my family.  We decided to drive up (luckily the boys both did very good) and Griff did not stop running from the second we pulled into their driveway until we left.  He had more faces than just his parents to play with everyday, a large backyard with toys, a trampoline and a dog, and it was fantastic weather.  Griff was in heaven.

We washed the cars and sprayed everyone with the hose.

Aunt Chanel was nice enough to bring over her big water slide.  Griff loved doing ring around the rosies on the tramp with Dax, Shane and Ryne. Griff also loved showing Grandpa how to mow the lawn and wondered why he was sweating when it was only 92 degrees.

We went on bike rides and cut down trees.

Rode very patriotic bikes.

Played with dogs.

But most importantly, we were able to bless Walker while we there.  It was so great to be able to do it with family.

After looking through all our pictures, we realized that we basically took zero pictures of Walker and hardly any pictures before or after the blessing.  Sorry Walker, you’ll just have to take our word for it that it happened at Grammy Cracker and Grandpa’s.

The Spirit of Rock-N-Roll

Griff has taken a new interest in Guitars lately.

I guess it was a sign as Landon has just taken a new job position with…

His official title is Senior Treasury Analyst, but I think he is telling people that he is the lead guitarist in the office all boy band.

Besides our Stratocaster Guitar from Rock Band, we don’t even own a Fender. I guess we better get on it… EVERYBODY, buy Fender!

We are so proud of Landon and excited for his new endeavor!

Swim Lessons Catch Up

Griff’s last day of swimming lessons ended the day before Walker was born… perfect timing. But I am just getting around to documenting his new skills. Even though he cried every time (I think it became routine), our little boy became a fish and he now loves to show off anytime we go swimming.

The first few clips are from the first day, followed by 2 more clips on the last day. I am grateful for the dramatic difference and growth!

The Amazing Race

The Amazing Race is the only show that I follow with gusto. I will not miss a show.

This last season was especially exciting for me because it showcased all returning teams. My favorite team of all the seasons was on again… The cowboys!

These brothers are the best. They knew how to race; lots of hard work and lots of fun!

Leading up to Walker’s birth, I started having dreams that Jet and Cord were actually Griffin and Walker. My two sons were battling it out on The Amazing Race and I couldn’t have been more proud.

(I probably took it a little too personal when they got kicked off, but I was 9 months pregnant at the time…that will be my excuse for now!)

As I anticipated to see what Walker would look like, you can only imagine how thrilled I was to get my little red!

I sure love MY “cowboys”

May 12, 2011

The time has come! Walker Nash Watts is set for induction on May 12 at 5 am… Unless of course he decides to come earlier on his own. I had a wonderful birthing experience with Griff and hope that Walker’s birth goes just as smoothly.

We cannot wait to hold a little one like this again!
